I got a pretty massive solo Beatles order from France, leaving me with things to write about well into October, even with duplicates and other format orders. Since I'm a little behind, I might as well write about a single that went where I know both sides. That would be McCartney's massive European hit with Wings "Mull of Kintyre" backed with the minor US Top 40 hit "Girls School."
This Israeli copy I got at a Beatles convention in the early 80's. The main reason being "Girls School" was a song you couldn't get on albums at the time, even compilations. Later on, that would be rectified but to a Beatle completest this single at a reasonable price was a rare find. "Mull of Kintyre" sold 2 million copies in the UK alone and was among his biggest record there. The bagpipe laden number closed out Wings Greatest issued in 1978.
The winner is "Girls School" where ae the nuns seem to have lost control over the international students that put paper on the windows and run a full-body outcall massage parlour from the teacher's halls.
