My introduction to Pussy Galore was when this EP arrived at WICN.  So many favorites, although we had to bleep out the opener "Pretty Fuck Look," that one garnered the most airplay.  

This was an all-star band with no anonymous members.  A rarity in "noise rock."  Bob Bert was out of Sonic Youth, Jon Spencer and his future wife Christina were yet to be Boss Hog.  Neil Haggerty wasn't in Royal Trux and Julie Cafritz had yet to get on with Free Kitten and her life.  Any one of these people were formidable characters whose mere inclusion in a lineup made it relevant.  That says something.

Another thing about this EP was in the UK, Shove Records included it as part of an expanded album Groovy Hate Fuck (Feel Good About Your Body).  The other tracks were earlier singles here in the US.  While some of the songs were great, even back then I felt that less was more with Pussy Galore.  These 5 tracks did the trick even though of course I laid out import dollars for Groovy Hate Fuck.

Special guests include Tom Rafferty on Percussion for "No Count."  He showed up later on early Royal Trux records.  John Hammill played drums on the same song and he was later in Velvet Monkeys and Elevator.
