While the opening salvo from JSBX has it's time proven classics, upon release I thought it was a bit of a disappointment coming out of the mighty Pussy Galore finale Dial M For Motherfucker and the mind blowing show I witnessed at the short lived Cambridge lesbian bar turned rock club Ground Zero on Mass Ave.

As usual, I want to chop these albums down to the 8 or 10 best.  This original album was actually EXPANDED and reordered in 2010 as Year One, so nuts to me and my reductionist opinions.  Albini was engineering on this and there was an alternate vinyl version Crypt Records put out called Crypt Style that was even less memorable to me as far as start to finish.

Of the hits, "What To Do" was a favorite then and now, "Support-A-Man" was up there as was "Chicken Walk."  The opener "Write A Song" was memorable now shuffled into the middle of the 38 track reissue.

No need to dismantle this album, but Extra Width perfected the style shortly after.
