One of the great things about Led Zeppelin was their refusal to put out compilations rehashing their hits.  You wanted to hear something, get the album it came out on.  In the box set era of 1990, this went out the window with the first round of remasters.   1999 saw the initial release of Early Days covering "Good Times Bad Times" through "Stairway To Heaven" with a special video from a Swedish 1969 TV appearance of "Communication Breakdown" thrown in.  Latter Days came in 2000 and picked up at Houses of the Holy and had "Kashmir" as the video track from Earls Court in 1975.  The two albums were repackaged in a slipcase in 2002.  I has since been replaced by the double CD Mothership in 2007 with the same track listing.

These are durable comps and a reasonable career overview.  I managed to ignore them completely and really didn't hear anything where I had to give them more than a pass.  The remastering sounds flawless of course but that didn't stop Jimmy Page from taking yet another crack at remastering the catalog around 2014.

This one will get lost in the shuffle like many comps do.
