If you see a copy of Smiley Smile like this on Brother for under $5, there is probably a reason. I rolled the dice and this one was actually a playable G+ with a very nice cover. I had requests about it before this finally sold. How many times with this blog do I have to say death sells? Most people were going to hold out for a better copy. So I think it pretty much went for what it's worth: the 25-30 dollar range. I never felt the need to replace the CD copy of Smiley Smile with Wild Honey I got in the early aughts.
Outside of "Heroes and Villains" I never really had a massive love for this album. I even forgot the band forced Brian Wilson to tack on "Good Vibrations" at the beginning of side two to make it sellable. It's a bit of a relieve because it's the best song on the album by far but it doesn't really fit. The food songs here were the other good ones "Vegetables" and "Gettin' Hungry."
Worth hearing, worth having.
