The Beastie Boys' Grand Royal licensed German "futurist" techno label Digital Hardcore straight outta Berlin. Label mates were Alec Empire and Atari Teenage Riot and EC8OR. Of these, Shizuo was the one I listened to the least although I did buy those other artists at import prices. Shizuo passed in 2011, most likely of some sort of overdose. He hadn't released any music since the 2000 self-issued Shizuo No. 1.
As for this lone album in his catalog, call it extreme background music. Something will jump out here and there. For example, a female voice speaking out a version of the Cramps "New Kind of Kick" or "Punks" repeated refrain "We're Punks!" into the digital breakbeat oblivion. An instrumental "Heart of Glass" is called Blondo. I found myself mini-headbanging to the speeded up drum 'n bass when I wasn't thinking about it. When I started focusing too much on the music, the boredom set in. It does remind me why I liked the Digital Hardcore movement of the late 90's.
We're punks!
