This reissue of the initial 1995 album by the Beastie Boys Grand Royal label was the pinnacle of the Digital Hardcore affiliation.  A German next gen late-80's Ministry through Punk Rock eyes and samples from Stooges to Ramones to Bad Brains.  These self proclaimed MIDI junkies were prophetic in worldview.  You better Delete Yourself before the powers that be control you they warn.  Not that the past is any better.  Like Public Enemy before them, they want to Destroy 2000 Years of Culture.

I first head ATR from the 7" that came out before this, "Deutchland (Has Got To Die)" which is contained here.and I was a fan immediately after.  Alec Empire has reconfigured the group, but it was his original cohorts I found interesting.  Hanin Elias had a revolutionary shriek that cut through glass.  Carl Crack provided the commentary before passing away in 2001 at 30.  I actually saw a solo Carl Crack gig at The Cooler which was an electronic gig of knob twiddling.  I did also get to see the group at CBGB's in it's full glory around the time this came out.

Many tracks on this are hits and it's catch-phrase a-plenty mixed with punk rock riffs and crushing hardcore electronics with the occasional jungle beat or late-90's glitch noise.

"Futurist" like Orwell.
