This was one of those singles I picked up on a whim from the Nuggets singles bin knowing nothing about it. I liked it when I head it but didn't have any recollection of either side. The A-side kicks off with a "Journey To The Center Of Your Mind" feel before settling into more garage rock fare. The B-side sounded to me like an early Screaming Trees style vocal.
Since the label came out of Enumclaw, WA, I had my suspicions there was some sort of relation. Although the names on the record are first name only, through the magic of Discogs links it can now be revealed that singer Matt is Matt Varnum who was the Trees merch guy. Guitarist Nate Hill went on to the Putters The drummer Sean Hollister, who passed in 2023, was also in a band with Van Conner of note: Solomon Grundy.
