Sunshine Superman is one of those albums I got way back in the early 80's. I seem to remember it had a full price ($2.99) tag on it but it came in a box of $5 records. Sort of an accidental bonus full price album altough there was a big scratch through it (invisible audio wise). Maybe it was a return, who knows. Anyway, it went in the order with the Yardbirds & Jefferson Starship, so it was part of a 60's order.
Jimmy Page is all over this one, not just the hit "Seasons of The Witch" but also with John Paul Jones on "Sunshine Superman," "The Trip" and whatever else was recorded in England. "The Fat Angel" was about Mama Cass and brought up Jefferson Airplane who covered the song on Bless It's Pointed Little Head . The British Dylanite had his own thing and Sunshine Acid and the San Francisco scene made him a pop star outside of the Newport Folk scene he established himself with on his first two records.
"He'll be so kind in consenting to blow your mind."
