This 350 pressing 4-song EP came recorded from a Wales, UK studio called Le Mons. Since I bought the record in London, I"m going to assume that the band is also from there. This is a faceless punk band with no last names in the credits: Ian, Nobby and Deano.
Of course, the thing with faceless punk singles that appear to be one-offs is sort of the point. Since it can't be streamed, I have to put the 3 spins in dutifully before shipping to adequately comment about it. One song grew on me, the B-side opener "Semtex Shoes." For it's big bomb chorus. A big bomb, big bomb! Big bomb, big bomb! Get it? Plastic explosives under the bed doesn't have too many songs. Maybe a few but I can't think of them.
The spirit of this is first band up at the Cosmic Psychos show in the UK. Shellshock distributed this, and that was printed on the artwork, so it isn't THAT obscure enough to escape a known punk or independent distribution chain. The "Saturday Night" track was kinda dumb with a theme don't better by others, but I guess if you want to play a set of "Saturday Night" songs you could throw it in there and it would have a little more meaning. Going out to start a fight, the rest of the week blurs by. Then it's a life of television and job prospects. The question mark songs are is this your life and so what.
I'll leave it for you to answer the question.
