Hailing originally from Santa Cruz this single was released probably by the band on an imprint called All City Soulsville. This record isn't up for streaming. They also issued another single and and an album that year as well as a couple more full-lengths the end of the 90's, finally winding up on K Records in 1999.
This was one of those "I'd buy that for a dollar" singles I bought for a $1.49 in the close out or used bin at Other Music sometime in the late 90's. I didn't have much recollection of it. It sounds like garage rock filtered through a Mark Arm style vocal kind of vocal typical of the Chrome Cranks and those kind of bands. A west coast version of NYC lo fi rock if you will.
The A-side sounds like Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love" except when it doesn't. The closer sounds like a Mudhoney bar chord kind of song. This is one of those scene bands that boils down to how they are live.
Seems like a scene band to me.
