British classic along the lines of The Who Sell Out, with poetic spoken bits instead of the advert ones. The songs that kick in are classics that have found their way into my head over time. "Tin Soldiers"' live was added to this addition. Live from where seems to elude even future editions. Such is the first decade of CD reissue where you'd get your bonus tracks and like them without too much exhaustive completist fuss.
The narrative is provided by Stanley Unwin, he of the language of Unwinese. It was initially supposed to be Spike Milligan, but those negotiations fell apart.
The "hits" here are "Lazy Sunday" and "Afterglow." The second side is a suit for "Happiness Stan" to find the second half of the moon as narrated by Unwin.
"If all the flies were one fly, what a great enormous fly-follolloper that would bold!"
