The opening track of the Boston noise rock masterpiece sets a bit of a template of love and hate.  Leonard Cohen did this in a much more respectable fashion.  Guinea Bastards Carreiro and Rulli tag team their way into your heart with Rulli providing the love and Carreiro providing the hate.  It's a template that got them out of a basement in Framingham, MA and into a warehouse in Youngstown, OH full of inbred cats.

The album itself is all hits and a cut above their debut sound wise.  They worked with Tim O'Heir, the skilled Boston engineer at Fort Apache.  He is listed as producer and given the constructed chaos of this, it shows.  Have a meandering 10 minute noise jam?  Chop it in half and call it "Bad Sabbath" put half at the midpoint, half on the end.  "Slute" feedsback seamlessly into "Hate Me," two crushing jams of Carreiro fury before the lovelorn Rulli wails about the love he's found dressed in "Black" and ruminates over the paper doll in the "Doll House."  "How could you be my lover?" he inquires in Filmmaker.  Ah, youth.

Carreiro gets the quality lines out later in the record. "That changes everything/the cat changes everything" in the 5th track #9.  Then concludes in the same song "I can't do one damn thing/without someone saying 'wrong'."  The final statement before more "Bad Sabbath?"  We can load each others gun.
