I picked this up in Boston sometime in the late 90's. Drummer Brian McGillivray brought the band back to Boston from Youngstown minus John Kiske who I thought was the primary member. Clearly Brian is and the first thing I noticed after listening to his performance on Red Bliss's Gateway To Joy from 1991 is that hot damn he got way better.
Anyway all the names on this record ring a bell: Ayal Nyor from Spore as are Dave Dunbar and Mike Davis, so ya know, stars of the Boston Noise Rock scene in the 90's. Stars I tell ya, whether the graduate to Green Magnet School or the bar!
Some maniac in Portland Oregon bought not just this and the aforementioned Red Bliss CD, but also the Red Bliss/Brickbat split that also had a Nuggets sticker on it. How I allowed them all to be priced so low was not based on my love or lack of for the records. It was just market rate minus auto percent deductions over time for dead stock with all my records sitting in storage.
