Sad To See It Go: No

Carbon 14 was one of those zines I'd buy at either Kim's Underground or See Hear in the East Village of Manhattan in the late 90's before taking myself back to the Brooklyn Navy Yard in the pre-computer era.  Just a landline, a stereo set up and stacks of music related periodicals to entertain myself.  This particular 7" came with the issue and for lo-fi bar punk of the late 90's, it's a quality listen.  3 out of 4 of these tracks could be found in some form on the internet to this day.

The only song I remember of the 4 is "Teenage Shutdown" by Electric Frankenstein.  EF still exist to this day founded in New Jersey and onward to North Carolina.  The type of band that would play the Continental or CB's before those clubs closed in the aughts.

Sgt. 6 Assault was a short lived band from NYC that lasted (or at least released music) until 2003.  I have no recollection of them in their day, but this track is good.  The flip has Sweden's Hellacopters, that have been off and on since 1994.  They are probably the biggest band of the bunch having been on Sub Pop.  I last saw them on a packed boat show after their 2016 reformation.  Closing the record is Philadephia's Stuntmen, and you guessed it, more quality punk rock.  This is the poppiest of the bunch somewhere between the Replacement and Ben Deily Taang-era Lemonheads.

As good as you could expect for a free zine punk rock record.
