Sad To See It Go: No
First volume of an Avant-noise rock 7" series. The schtick is every track is a minute. The stars are Elliott Sharp, Don Caballero and The Flying Luttenbachers. Duotron is another band I bought a full length of around this time.
If you like this sort of stuff, the whole conceptual sampling of 10 bands in 10 minutes is a solid format. Oddly enough, nobody has seen fit to put either single online save a recompiled track here or there. The short sample variety makes for two nice 5 minute tracks. Something like the Larner-Reichman duo veers off into traditional Japanese Koto music. That is followed by a free-Jazz harpist Zeena Parkins into an industrial sounding guitarist Elliott Sharp. Madison noise rockers White close it out with yelling, distortion and feedback.
On to the second volume.
