"I feel ripped off..  /hey what about you?"-"Right To Work"

Excellent 1980 singles compilation issued in the UK as Alternative Hits.  These were singles from their glory years of 1977 to 1980.  The album kicks off with a cover of the Seeds for the title track.

"Right To Work" was the one that resonated with me.  It might be band commentary on their record label, but it could be supplanted for a blue collar anthem.  He doesn't do drugs.  He doesn't drink beer.  He just works.  Seven. Days. A. Week.  And his future is a terrible thing.

The other ones I liked quite a bit are "No Ones Coming Outside" and  "Urban Kids."  The rest of it is somewhere between Oi and the Pistols/Clash/Sham British matrix fitting for a young London band of that era. "Decide" a single from October 1979 sounds like The Clash.   Nothing on here is less than good.  Billy Idol played guitar in this band as William Broad, but didn't make the recordings before he went on to Generation X.

Urban kids escape!
