Sad To See It Go: No
New Zealand noise rock taken on by Massachusetts "out" establishment zine Forced Exposure's label before they moved on to a lengthy career that still runs today.
The formula is thus: noise, hiss, melodic-laconic male vocals. Red Red Meat did this later on to a slightly more commerical effect, but Dead C are to the left of that band. Sun City Girls are another "contemporary."
That's who I thought of with my favorite of the 3 tracks "Peace" which closes the B-side. A fragmented distorted melody awash in feedback. The A-side "Mighty" churns and lurches, again with the winning laconic vocals of rock n roll indifference in an anti-rock setting. The B-side opener "Power" has more melodic laconic drone.
