Pretty good overview of the state of mostly experimental indie rock circa mid 90's.  This came with the Yak'uz'a zine as a CD insert.  I question whether I bothered to listen to it at the time, but I got a few listens in 25 years later.  Most of it can't be streamed, at least on Youtube.  Somebody paid $45 for this in 2012, and I don't know whether it was with the zine or not.  Recent sellers, including me, generally have it under ten bucks, and my copy of the zine was long gone having lost my "zine room" many years ago.   Downsizing is a bitch.

My favorite cut on this was a band that I was unfamiliar with, Lenola.  This has some cool guitar explosion.  Lenola were around 1994-2002 and were from New Jersey.  You also get some standard bearers like New Radiant Storm King, Lee Renaldo, Zen Guerilla and the Azusa Plane.  You also get avant standard bearers like Matthew Shipp and Lauren Mazzacane Connors.  Renaldo and Pee Wee Herman's writer Nicole Painter do some spoken word in entertaining fashion.

This stuff held up over time.  It didn't sound too pretentious or precocious, just artists generally known in their milieu doing what they do.
