Hand Over Head didn't get as much traction as the God Bullies, but Mike Hard is always excellent. Even with me, this 28 year old single didn't ring a bell at all the way the "Hand Over Head" theme song comes to mind when I think of that era;
The joy of this exercise of listening to things on the way out is finding the occasional gem I ignored for whatever reason. Maybe I bought 20 singles that week, played everything once and was working a shit job long hours the month I bought this. I did get to SEE Hand Over Head at some point. Dope Guns and Fucking In The Streets Volume 2 had an impact. At some point my couch in Boston put up some God Bullies as well in the early 90's when the whole world memorized Mama Womb Womb and Dog Show and War On Everybody.
Somebody accidentally posted the A-side again for the B-side, so you can only hear "Evil Guru" streaming, so if you are going to buy a record, this would be a good one to get in terms of excellence and exclusivity. Still, I suspect that error will be corrected somewhere down the road.
Mike Hard is just too damn important.
