"He's not your everyday type prankster" quotes the title track.  No, Ice-T is not.  The summary "Home Of The Body Bag" lays out the hits to date.  "Body Count" kicks off his rock band.  "New Jack Hustler" is a great single.

In 1991, OG-Original Gangster was his first full length I cared about.  Oh, I liked "Colors" and had the soundtrack.  I was introduced to him via the Power record which was owned by a friends annoying roommate in 1988.  He couldn't get enough of "Girls Let's Get Buck Naked And Fuck" but it seemed kinda weak particularly at the 25th spin of the night.  As the "Evil E-What About Sex?" track makes note, OG is now all serious and all hard all the time on this album.  I appreciated that.

Maybe today I'd appreciate a shorter record and a sex jam or two on a compilation, but throughout these 24 tracks I kept noting the raps don't fall into weak filler.  Ice-T evolved into a serious style that he articulates well without being overwhelmingly militant.  He tried early on to do party jams like the first wave, but didn't fit so he made something his own that fit his voice.  That the character propelled him into a star of stage and screen is no surprise.

H-U-S-T-L-E-R.  Hustler!
