Excellent Kentucky alt-country spinoff of Eleventh Dream Day's Janet Beveridge Bean with Catherine Irwin.  Catherine sometimes went by the name Trippy Squashblossom.

I probably bought this for the Black Sabbath cover "War Pigs."   It works in an acapella setting.  "War Pigs" works in almost any setting I suppose, but this pulled it off well.  The A-side, the original "Your Goddamn Mouth" also was a memorable mainstay for me at the time.

Freakwater went on to have a lengthy career, putting many full length releases on the Thrill Jockey label throughout the 90's to mid aughts and fairly recently,  on the Bloodshot label in 2016.  At the time this seemed to be a loveable knockoff even though there was a debut full length in 1989.
