The Pooh Sticks were a band I initially got into by getting a copy of their 1989 cover of The Vaselines "Dying For It" before I ever heard the original version.  For whatever reason, nothing the Pooh Sticks did after that I enjoyed as much.  I was really into the Pooh Sticks version of this song!    I tried and tried to get my initial Pooh Sticks high, but failed again and again until I gave up.  I did enjoy the live CD Multiple Orgasm that I plunked down $20 for at the time, particularly "I Know Someone Who Knows Someone Who Knows Alan McGee Quite Well."

This A-side was from their 7th album The Great White Wonder and interpolates the 1975 Frankie Valli soft rock hit "Who Loves You" in a more than coincidental way.    I liked this song enough back then, perhaps their 3rd most known song to me, although the rest of the album I didn't care about outside a few spins at WERS when it was new.

There is a long diatribe on the back about the B-side being a great song, but inferior to everything that made the cut on the full length.

I won't bore you with the details.
