Although I liked the Oldham albums of this era quite a bit, this particular single had little impact.  The music makes an argument for the digital medium, where surface noise abounds though out the seemingly clean, new looking pressing.

These 2 are standard early Oldham fare.  Quiet and plaintive.  Maybe a little too plaintive.  I prefer the B-side, "Trudy Falls" if I had to choose a side to play on air.  I probably played both of them at WFDU.

It gets to the point where you can't really say much else about a release like this.

Why fake it?
