Stump the Gwiz!  The Reverse Collector was confused when this was sold, thinking maybe it was in a consignment collection, but no it was on the shelf filed away with the 'T''s of my CD library in storage.  What was it? A band promo? A label promo from the Rubric/Tee Pee years?  And why did it sell for $7.99?

There are some mysteries that are meant to be unsolved.  One clue was the liner notes, recorded by Steve "Gourmet" Albini.  Of course, I had a point where anything that Albini coughed on had to be in my collection, but I had zero recollection of anything associating this band with Albini.

So I ripped the CD, shipped it and made a mental note to play at a later date.  Listened, sounded like average Slint-influenced Math Rock.  Maybe with a little Sir Richard Bishop style guitar thrown in.  So, yes this would be a band I might buy in 2003, but I am more disturbed by the complete lack of memory of the band.  I'm used to knowing every finite detail of nearly everything I buy.  So I did some internet digging.  The band is Italian.  Well Uzeda was Italian math rock also, maybe a little earlier.  I noticed they played with Uzeda at a 30 year anniversary show in Italy.  Did I see this band play with Uzeda and buy their CD at the show?  Was I that drunk in 2003 or 4 that I have no memory of this event?

Again the cd is pleasant, well played, ultimately forgettable math rock.

I gave it a second listen while writing this to make sure.

The assessment stands.
