British Rockabilly revivalist Levi (Dexter) issued this 5-song ep back in 1983 having been playing since the later part of the 70's.  This happened right before guitarist Danny B Harvey recorded on RCA as The Rockats and made MTV and American Bandstand with "Make That Move."   The Fun Sessions recordings are much less polished.  Here he is a clear heir to all the greats: Vincent, Cochran, Presley.  Early on they got to appear on the Merv Griffin TV show.

This EP can't be streamed in it's original form and it's tracks can be found as The Lost Sessions credited to Levi Dexter and the Ripchords featuring Danny B Harvey.  So confusing!  Side One opens with "Other Side of Midnight" and closes with "Victim of Kool."  The second side opens with "I Get So Excited" rolls with the barroom standard "Let 'er Roll" and ends fast with "Jitterbop Baby."   Short, sweet and to the point.

I'm trying to think of exactly what made "Let 'er Roll" such a standard.  You mean you haven't heard of Columbia Recording Artist Sid King & The Five Strings? What the hell is wrong with you?

Bands come and go.  The masters pass on.  In NYC places like the Rodeo Bar and Hank's Saloon that would endorse these kind of combos into this century are gone.  As, seemingly, any type of performance venue.

Levi Dexter keeps on going.
