Sad To See It Go?: No

There was a time where children sang the praises of NYC scenesters just because they were in the Pussy Galore family.  Pronouncing names like Kurt VOLF or Jen JOOOOORGENSEN with reckless abandon.  Kurt and Jens were joined by the guitarist and drummer of hardcore legend Crucifix, Matt Borruso and Chris Douglas.  This was as unexpected a partnership as one could hope, a rare coupling of the hardcore and art punk worlds.

For me "Pray" was the most memorable, crushing song of Loudspeaker's 5 year run, having also bought a couple full length CDs from said run.  Jens went on to fame and fortune with Boss Hog, though at the time he was more known as photographer to the stars.

Heady days in the early 90's, before music got co-opted for the last time until the next.  Loudspeaker themselves did not fill arenas or even draw more than 25 in NYC unless they were on a good bill I suspect.  I can't remember ever having the opportunity to see them live either in Boston or NYC during their run.  That 3 years have past since the last sale of this single is a record so far for sold titles on The Reverse Collector, but that just means people are missing out.

Kurt Wolf went on to greater fame in Emma Peel who had a Marz Bar jukebox hit.  I think Lapis Lazuli is his latest project, but I'm not quite sure.
