Sad To See It Go?  No

This was the last Godflesh release I ever bought, with the 1992 live performance in Boston with canned drums making me lose interest in the band even though Streetcleaner employed just that.  Big Black had more than enough personality to employ "Roland" on drums, but Godflesh were lacking live by the time 1992 rolled around.   In 1991 however, I was still on the high on Streetcleaner and cared enough about Godflesh to mail order the German Sub Pop single before Earache took over.  Looking at press of this record, seems like people were talking about them moving in a more "rhythmic direction" which would explain my lack of interest going forward, as the world really only needs one Ministry and I never dug Nine Inch Nails.  That said, upon listening to this single, I thought it sounded better than I remember, probably because it was still the same time as Streetcleaner and they hadn't really devolved.  This also reminds me that I was big on the band Head of David which mined a similar turf a few years earlier with less of a metal or industrial-metal hue.  Upon relistening, the guitars sound nice and crushing and I really can't say anything bad about this particular release.   I probably bought it, played it on the radio a few times and filed it away.

When I first listed the title around 5 years ago, nobody had it up so I put my generic $99.99 "only one on Discogs price"  (or maybe it was one of my rare early stabs at ebay set sales) and watched the value drop like a stone over the years in a race to the bottom selling finally at only $12.99 this week!
