More than anything Destiny by the Jackson brothers musical machine gives Michael a showcase with "Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)."  That one might be my personal favorite song he sings.  It was the only major hit of the record, Gold top 5 in it's day. The lead-off single "Blame It On The Boogie" a was a minor hit I have no recollection of, but for the group it is a live standard.  Interestingly, the writer Mick Jackson (unrelated) had the original version which was a bigger hit in the UK.

The rest of the album doesn't really have any standouts.  Guitarist Mike Sembello, known for his 80's Flashdance soundtrack hit "Maniac" got guitar session work all over this.  The record sounds a little weak outside of the singles.  It makes you really appreciate Quincy Jones on Michael's work after this.  However, you can see a template forming for the group and for Michael solo.

Blame it, if you will, on the boogie.
