This import 12" came out right before Warehouse: Songs and Stories wrapped up the Hüsker's short sweet career.  The "hardcore" Beatles, by this point were a year away from breakup,   When this EP came out in January 1987, their manager David Savoy Jr. was still alive.  He committed suicide the next month right after Warehouse came out.  This meant the band would postponed their tour.  I had already missed all prior opportunities to see the band for various reasons but finally did get to see a rescheduled date at a UMASS ballroom where they did Warehouse Sugstart to finish and did the Mary Tyler Moore theme for an encore.  Right before, a youthful crowd surfer lost her shoe and Bob Mould noted "that girl's got a long walk home!"  I didn't get to see a happier "greatest hits" type of show later in the year at the Living Room in Providence before the band broke up, some of which found it's way to The Living End release.

But back to when the unseeable distant future seemed bright for the Minneapolis ex-SST gone major darlings.  This pre-release featured one track sung by each member.  Bob had the A side with "Could You Be The One?," Greg Norton opened the B-side with the otherwise unreleased "Everytime" and Grant Hart took it home with "Charity, Chastity, Prudence and Hope."

All 3 songs are great and all seemed right in the world.
