I picked up the 4th Bats albums on cassette a couple years ago in a lot of dollar cassettes. I suspect this single tape paid for that whole lot or close to it. US label Mammoth licensed this one from the New Zealand stalwart Flying Nun, so it could be found in closeout bins for all eternity instead of $25 import scarcity. Except time has passed and to get this on Cassette now costs $25 as someone not me has the last one listed on Discogs.
So anyway, this is a solid Bats album I played once a couple years ago and put on a shelf in the back room with a few dozen other cassettes I purchased cheaply. The harmonies between Robert Scott and Kaye Woodward are winning throughout and after 4 listens I'm familiar enough with the 12 tracks to say there isn't a particular standout. Well, I do like the closer "Half Way To Nowhere."
Feet stuck to the earth.
