Lemonade are one of those Olympia scene bands of the early 90's that put out one single and went on to other things.  The A-side was recorded in the studio, and the B-side was recorded at KAOS on the Unwound drummer Sara Lund's radio show.  The music is almost communist in its indistinguishability as it veers from a surf punk style instrumental to a Fugazi type groove after some petulant screaming and some gang harmony as the side closes.

The B-side kicks off with the DJ's introduction to let us know this is indeed a historic document of a band in its time.  As time tested as the Beatles at the BBC!   Despite all of this, there is very little if any of Lemonade to be heard in cyberspace, you'll just have to buy one of the 14 copies that remain on Discogs or found in a single section long unsold.  This sold in a stack of singles, so it went to the top to write about since I can't go back to it once it is out the door.  Just because I have a functioning cassette player and turntable doesn't mean they are hooked up for blank tape making that used to be such a common byproduct of single piles of this era.  This music is gonna get lost to the ages except now I got a few spins of it in at this point in time.

The drummer Timo Ellis went on to play with quite a bit of noted notables in NYC including the Netherlands.  For all I know maybe he sold this copy of the record direct to the store I bought it from. Jason Moralis went on to Austin and was in bands like Gorch Foch, Starfish, Tia Carrera and White Powder.  Matt Zodrow went on to do things in film and graphics including the Girl Trouble documentary.  So that's the where are they now that you, dear reader, was aching to know about.  As far as a random one-off record from 1992, the band members had some legs.

I guess you gotta start somewhere.
