Jethro Tull's calling card, Aqualung, swapped labels-Reprise for Chrysalis in the US-along with the rest of the bands early catalog. Somehow, I had two low end copies, one of each label. I managed to list them both under the Chrysalis listing and sold this one. However, I was able to correct the incorrect entry before it sold (if it ever does). This copy played way cleaner and looked better than I graded it. It makes me wonder if maybe I had a third copy laying around that I sold sometime in the past.
I may have a slightly greater passion for Thick As A Brick, but I've always thought of this the first part of their twin towers after an excellent early period and before coasting through various levels of quality afterward. My absolute favorite Tull song, “Hymn 43,” is here as are the three AOR standards: "Locomotive Breath," "Cross Eyed Mary" and the title track.
The rest of it is great, probably "My God" does it best for me out of the rest, but really there isn't a duff track on here.
Not that I can truly think of any truly duff Jethro Tull tracks until Under Wraps.
