Vertigo were one of the AmRep bands that I started buying from the start before that premium "noise" stamp of approval with their 7" on Silt Breeze.  They were one of the wings of Minneapolis bands, like Tar, that were somewhat anonymous and workmanlike as opposed to having celebrity frontman bands like Cows and Halo of Flies.

This was the type of band and record that was made for playing on the radio, not just "new rotation" but catalog over time.  Then tapes of those shows inevitably would be played and I got my Vertigo that way.  Yes they came around and yes I saw them, but certain cuts just stand out.  The opener "Love WIthdrawal" and the rocking "Get Out" were the two big ones I recall. "Planet Earth" sounds like a derivative of "Foxy Lady." "Burnin' Inside" I recall shelling out import dollars on the Australian single that was issued before this album came out.

$6.99 was a big deal for a single in 1992.
