Ill Communication was one of those album that seemed of some substance at the time it came out.  It was everywhere and I even saw the tour at Madison Square Garden.

Listening to it now, it seems top loaded with hits like "Sure Shot," "Root Down" and of course "Sabotage" co-existing with "B-Boys Makin' With The Freak Freak"  and "Get It Together" which features a chorus with the album title.  The other 2/3 of the CD or double album isn't as memorable or good. Except of course, "Heart Attack Man" the ode to a 275 pound man done in the Hardcore Punk style that was the Beastie Boys roots.  Picking up the instruments was a big deal for their (Alt) Rock Cred but I still think Licensed To Ill is their best.

There are a couple I'm surprised had videos.  The first is the percussion and upright bass laden "Subrosa".  The second was "Futterman's Rule" with sounds like soundtrack music and uses outtake footage from "Sabotage."

Ma Bell's got the Ill Communication.
