Oddly enough between Tom Petty, George Harrison and Bob Dylan, it is Dylan that shines most in this Jeff Lynne 3 minute pop sheen.  More so than Don Was could elicit around the same time with the underrated Under The Red Sky.

As for Travelling Wilburys Vol. 3, the magic of the first one is gone, as is Roy Orbison.   32 years on only Bob and Lynne remain, so it's nice to hear these 4 having a blow.  Who is the drummer?  Jim Keltner who they call Buster Sidebury.  Gary Moore also appears on the opening single "She's My Baby" as Ken Wilbury.  For me the "meat" of the album is the next three tunes, those were the ones that stuck with me on an album I thought I forgot but mostly remembered.  The 3 videos were all new to me 

The state of the world commentary is quaintly dire, same as it ever was and always will be.  The Devil is busy in this outside in planet.  Doo wop nods to all of the deadly sins and a new blue moon smiles over Harrison's wail.   They don't even know where the love interest is   "Where were you last night?".  Maybe she left with Leadbelly after slow dancing to the old "Blue Moon".  Could she have been in the pines?

Having experienced flood mitigation in a cluttered room first hand over the years, Tom Petty's lead vocal on "Cool Dry Place" hits home a little harder than it did when I was 20 and these guys were so much older then.

Might as well make up your own dance.
