Novelty Cheap Trick EP from Epic's 10" 1980 New Wave series.  This and the Clash Black Market Clash were the biggest of the short live series that also had Rick Nelson, Gary Glitter, Shakin' Stevens as well as actual New Wave like Propaganda and The Continentals.

The 4-song EP kicks off with a live version of the Beatles "Day Tripper." Is there any other song called "Day Tripper?"  They didn't like the way it came out and rerecorded it with the original crowd noise.  Actual Budokan outtake "Can't Hold On"  wraps the side.  Jack Douglas recorded the 2 tracks on the B-side but neither are anything to write home about.

The bonus single from the Roadie soundtrack, "Everything Works If You Let It" was better then the actual EP, Beatles cover included.

The definition of stop-gap release.
