Rockabilly rebel revivalists, The Zantees were one of the early Bomp band led by BIlly Miller.  Billy of course became the head of Norton and also the A-Bones so he was "of the scene.:  His wife, Miriam Linna, came from the Cramps to here, so there certainly is quality on multiple fronts.  Who could forget Rob Norris went on to The Bongos? (ed. note: I did until I saw them in 2025).

The standout tracks for me are "Up The River" for it's bad boy shenanigans.  "Big Green Car" had a nice echoed out vocal.  After thinking it over, "I Thought It Over" is also as standout.  The rest is good for the goose and the gander.  This clearly ushered in a era or rockabilly that, like Miriam's Cramps, was a bit more raw than what the Stray Cats did.  The concept was new enough that people didn't feel the need to go balls to the wall in low fidelity.

Slightly tougher and better than the Levi record I wrote about.

It's a game of inches.
