Eyeballing the list of recent sales, this A-side started going through my head. It's a sign! Recent Halo of Flies write up be damned. I'm just gonna have to write about this one. The noise rock singles circling the pile to Chile had some classics and "Death of a Fly" is one of them.
From the kick ass noise-surf opening to the Amphetamine classic riff, "Death of a Fly" slays. The fly dies, but there are many more in the Halo fortunately. "There Ain't No Hell" is another classic with a great ending. "Spit It Out" kicks off the side with a nice chugger. AmRep's house band really were hitting their stride in the late 80's. Almost every cut a top flight classic often delivered in single and EP bursts for maximum impact.
Enough blabbing, crank it up!
