When this came out I liked the thick wall of guitar sound the Walking Seeds had to offer. It's still enjoyable on some level and was good radio filler for at least 6 of it's 8 weeks in the new release bin, and maybe an archive spin over the years I did radio.
Listening to this now, the vocals are a little grating. Usually I like a nice gated reverb vocal but this one is a little bit high end. They do break out BOC's "Transmaniacal MC" for a bonus track. "Imerious, Vain, Selfish and Willful" sounds the most "melodic" in a Royal Trux sorta way. As the songs progress, they don't stick on repeated listens. "Slow Dance of Golden Lights" sounds a little more garagy that fuzz overload. "Louie Louie Louie" sticks in my mind for the wrong reason. It poses a serious rhetorical question.
Does the world need a third Louie?
