"Woke up in a bed of vomit/My Head Hurts and I Want To Die"-Technicolor Yawn

Why did I buy this for five whole dollars (plus tax), I asked myself?  Perhaps I liked it from hearing it in WFDU's library, or perhaps Christgau's one man standing appreciation for them made me curious.

Engineer Bill Price had a hand in The Clash and The Pistols.  Christgau would've had you believe that Fluffy (not Mott The Hoople or Blackfoot) was the third and perhaps greatest masterwork of his engineering career..  Have you ever had the feeling you've been swindled?

90's saturated low end reigns supreme.  This is sub-middling mid-90's alterna-grunge at best with lyrics just shy of puerile.   After one pass, I watched the video and the Tops of the Pops debut just to make sure.  No, this is sub-Elastica, with whom they reside side by side in cd bargain bins for decades.  The front-woman Amanda tried again in Harlow in 2001.  Their artistic peak was being on VH1's Bands on the Run programme.  Sometimes putting a face on the faceless makes things even worse.
