Gwiz-gau Letter Grade: A

Excellent German twee-pop reminiscent of the Wedding Present and Eugenius.  "Hollywood Holiday" kicks this off with my historical favorite, but upon a couple relistens there are other great standouts.

"Comin' Out, Stayin' In" has a lisping lover finding his girl dancing with another man.  Other girls are not to die for says "Never Found A Woman Worth To Die For" in awkward English.   Even a safety pin gets stuck in his heart.  A teutonic grumpy gus if there ever was!  The whole 29 minutes close with Hank Williams "Nobody's Lonesome For Me."

I got to witness the Bartlebees at Under Acme, a 90's venue that my band Butt-Ox actually had one of our best attended shows at (like 40!).  I bought this CD direct from the band after the show and was glad I did.  

It blows everything in it's genre out of the water.
