Album number three from the Targets has quite a few hits.  The single "Away From Me" was a little cleaner alt-rock than I wanted them to be at the time, but yes, it is a great single that held up in my head over decades.

Coming after the twin titans Burning In Water and Brave Noise made it hard for Fall to compete.  Burning In Water was so revered that all respectable Boston music fans had a 5th generation cassette of Brave Noise for a year before the album came finally came out.

So the hit count after "Away From Me": "Only Life Of Fun," "Answer," "Fumble" and "Fake It" at least.  "Can You Blame Me?" is another good one.  Everything else is solid.; The "Taang Intro" is an intro in the "Durango 95" sort've way.  Don't believe the interweb bumping into the middle of the playlist or changing the name.

Leader Kenny Chambers released a great solo record around this time that I plunked down $20 for when it came out called Double Negative.  I remember thinking around that time that Moving Targets were done but that was not the case.  In fact, Humbucker has just been released in 2020 after the return in 2019, Wires.  A great voice then and now.  Laconic, melodic and rocking all at once.

State of the art 1991 Boston Rock.
