As anonymous and quality implied as AmRep got, I almost had Vertigo pegged as part of that label's Australian onslaught. Almost. Where the fuck were they from? Minneapolis, of course. Same as Amphetamine Reptile.
Where are they now and what ever happened to Vertigo after their short burst of records from 1988-1993? Their bass player retired. Just kidding, they never had one, even if one of the guitarists sometimes would play the instrument. Guitarist A, Gene Tangrem went on to from Silver Salute with drummer Bill Beeman. Guitarist B, Jared Aos aka Jarod Aos I don't know what became of.
As for the single, well Driver #43 was drunk and gets his face smashed into a wall. The B-side someone is told to Shut Up And Sit Down. Possibly by the voice in the persons head or a directive from somebody else that knows what that voice should be saying.
Reasonable songs from a reasonable band.
