Sad To See It Go: No

There was some reason I bought this in the dollar bin.  Somebody was talking about them being good at some point in my life.  It seems like they played the Warped Tour in 2007, the year after this was released.   To me it sounds like No Doubt without the ska, maybe a little more "rock."  Pop and "active rock" with a touch of goth veneer in the keyboards.  This stuff really isn't my bag in 2007 or now.  I thought there was a Vincent Black Shadow doing more of an underground speed rock thing.  Maybe there was and I mistook this Canadian band for that one.  I have no idea.  All I have to go on is the here and now and this specific disc.

This is the type of band whose existence is so artless that it could make one reconsider even liking music at all.  Their videos play like bad horror movies complete with generic CGI effects.  Evil without the evil if that makes sense.   Maybe they are visually engaging live, and this record is missing a visual.  I can't even say it is poorly played or sung.   Spirited fluff can have it's place (the mall), but at some point, do you want to spend hours to taste test the difference between Fluff and Toonie Moonie?  The odd day it is thrown in your peanut butter sandwich will come and go and you know you won't have a steady diet of it.  That impulse buy will sit on the shelf until the end of time.  Perhaps some exposed Fluff will attract some ants.   Until this day, I struggled to think of an alternate brand to Fluff much like I would have difficulty naming a tune by most of the other Warped Tour acts Vincent Black Shadow played with in 2007.

Then it got me to thinking what type of musical presentation do I dislike more?

Don't worry, there's plenty.
