I was experimenting with auction sales on whatnot auctions and spun my wheels a little bit selling a few items here and there on the low end of what they were worth. I did a theme show of metal cds and this sealed copy of Black Ice by AC/DC was unexpectedly the only thing that sold for a whopping $3. I was glad to unload it since it really wasn't worth much more even with the Walmart limited edition hype sticker. I still have the copy I bought in 2008 with the red logo cover.
This is one of those AC/DC albums with one GREAT song, some good ones and some that are pleasant background music. The one that stands out on this album for me every time I've heard it, then and now, is "Big Jack." Something about that riff, it is nailed.
The rest of the 15-track album has it's moments. The opener "Rock N Roll Train" I remember made it into the bands live show I saw at Giants Stadium. Only three other songs made it to their stadium tours 2009-10: "Anything Goes," "War Machine" and of course "Black Ice." Why I remembered the big train on the jumbotron while other memories went by the wayside I'll never know.
It wasn't like the cannon.
