Sold garage rock (decidedly not thrash as Discogs would have you believe) with a horror theme. If there is a singular influence among Nuggets and Pebbles and Crypt it would be the 13th Floor Elevators. Why? The regular use of the jug.
I enjoyed this record when it came out in 1987 and it made many a radio show around that time. I think I found this used for a couple bucks at Nuggets a few years later. Good record to have in the collection although I doubt I've sat down and listened to it from then til now.
Still, the band sounds like good raw garage rock, a bit beefed up on the loud scale for the genre. Still, it ain't "punk rock" or "hardcore" or "77 punk."
And it definitely ain't thrash.
