A fairly bland double live double album of the It's Hard tour with Kenney Jones.  This one played Worcester before the "grand finale" in Toronto, but I missed out on tickets and only heard the concert recreation on the radio.  A grand finale that lasted until Live Aid in 1985.  The tide turned after that show and they resumed touring consistently in 1989 although without Jones who bowed out after a one-off 3 song  BPI award show appearance in 1988

Even as a 1982 period piece, this double album is wanting for the material actually recorded with Kenney Jones.  It seems like a cash in for MCA Records who released this.  MCA must've retained the rights for the material in their catalogue.  It did get a CD issue and the UK version had a different cover with a British flag.  Supposedly the band selected the tracks,  but the exclusions that would have made the album more interesting to listen to are glaring.  A big part of the show got chopped: Warner era and otherwise: "Sister Disco," "Dangerous," "The Quiet One," "It's Hard," even "Eminence Front" which was a hit highlight of the show I saw at Madison Square Garden last May, was chopped out.

There are some cool things.  The rockabilly reprise of "Long Live Rock" and the 1-2 ending covers punch of "Summertime Blues" and "Twist and Shout" are excellent.  Leaving out the Toronto encore of “Naked Eye” and "Squeeze Box" seems odd to me.

I guess they wanted to go out with Maximum R&B.
