One of those DIsco albums worshiped by the Dean of Music Criticism although even in his legacy review he admitted to initially disliking it as much as the Hard Rock of the day he sniffed at.  Since this was on the 'A' list in the 70's book, I've had a CD copy for over 25 years.  This "Best Buy" 80's vinyl copy came from a lot of $3 or $4 records.  Not a mega profit, but  hey it flipped, which is better than I can say for the first generation compact disc I still have.

The record itself was a bigger Pop and Disco hit than an R&B one going Gold and peaking at #22 on the Billboard 200 as well as #31 R&B.  To me it's like a cross of the Jackson Five and the Manhattan Transfer in the 70's.  You get medleys and Cole Porter and Louis Armstrong weaved in and out under the Disco ball.

The indisputable best track was the lone charting song, #19 on the Disco chart with "Cherchez La Femme" which is sandwiched between "Whispering" and "Se Si Bon."  My other favorite is the side one closer "Sunflower."  The rest is credible Disco well played, particularly the closer "Sour and Sweet"/"Lemon In The Honey."

A good pop record not overcrammed down my throat, perhaps a tad overrated even by me.  I tentatively had it at B-, then upped it to B+ after the second listen.

Then I thought about it.
