The second volume of the Hit Parade single series compiled in 1992 and repackaged yet again in 2003 to combine the two, was a point of critical mass for me.  Too much of a good thing, and I dropped off a few singles in that year.  I bought a used copy of this some point in the aughts, I can't remember if before or after it was recompiled.  I definitely didn't KNOW it was recompiled when I got it.

Anyway, the fun of the Hit Parade were the B-sides.  The covers?  Mud, Isaac Hayes, David Bowie, Bow Wow Wow, Barry Gray and Elton John.  TV & movie themes, Yuletide hits and deep cuts.

The originals are up to the usual uniformly excellent standard.
